Dr. Donewar is a licensed psychologist who specializes in behavioral sleep medicine. 
She obtained her Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed postdoctoral fellowship training in Clinical Child Psychology at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas. 
 

She has been active in conducting research and has published book chapters and numerous peer-reviewed journal articles. 
 

Dr. Donewar has specialized training in pediatric behavioral sleep medicine, cognitive
behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), motivational interviewing, and the Supportive
Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) program. She is a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the Society of Behavioral Sleep Medicine, and the North Carolina Psychological Association. 
 

She is licensed as a psychologist in the state of North Carolina.
